HISTORY OF ABILITY: metamormagus, animagus & occlumency: first off, metamorphmagus isn't something you learn how to do over time, it's something you're born with. celeste here has had the ability ever since she can remember. in fact, she's been using the ability since she learned of her abilities as a witch. according to her mother, athena, celeste's eyes changed color when she was just an infant, and has continued to do so ever since. celeste is a rare creature, as are all metamorphmagi. there are not an abundant collection of them, and there is no training available. for others, like celeste, they must learn and train their abilities through trial and error. though celeste has the ability to change her appearance at will, her main focus has always been her eye color. finding no need to change her physical appearance. she only changes her eye color based on her mood, and even then, it's an inevitable thing. it happens automatically, without her approval. celeste has never really used her ability as a metamorphmagi for the wrong reasons, though if she were swayed, with or for the right price, i'm sure she wouldn't mind getting down and dirty. in a sense. she's relatively careful with her ability as a metamorphmagus, taking it seriously, as opposed to the others who use their gift for fun and games.
secondly, celeste has the innate ability to transform her human body into that of a silver wolf. her animagus form is different from her patronus, which is that of a siberian tigress. celeste has only recently mastered her ability as an animagi. she's been taking classes and practicing diligently since her fifth year. she's in her sixth year now, approaching her seventeenth birthday, and she's registered through the ministry and everything. it took her three months to actually get the transformation down. and at least nine more to perfect the transformation, and include the select markings that identify her from a regular wolf. there was never really any reason as to why she chose the wolf, aside from the fact that it had been the first animal that had popped into her mind, she remembered thinking, hey a wolf, that's pretty cool and thus her shape shifting as such was initiated. again, despite celeste's wicked attitude and selfish nature, she doesn't use her ability to tranform for the worst. sure, she could pretend to be a rabid animal and scare the living hell out of first years, but hey, she's got more class than that. besides, creeping on first years isn't really her style. in a sense celeste uses her ability to transform as an escape. for a girl like celeste escape and quiet time is something needed to maintain sanity, and if you think the girl's insane now, just wait until you see her when she's not trying to hold herself together.
finally, we have a little something called occlumency. this is nothing more than the ability to close one's mind from legilimency. celeste, coming from the sort of family she did, learned of occlumency in her first year, and has begged the headmaster for a chance to learn it. no one, and she means no one, deserved the right into her mind. no one deserved to see her darkest secrets or know of her tragic past. no one deserved to know what made celeste just the way she was. she's been practicing the ability since she was eleven. and in her fifth year she perfected the act. she constantly shields her mind from invaders, never letting her defense down. she doesn't believe in letting people read her mind or her feelings, or see images from her gruesome past. no, it's better for everyone if it just remained a mystery. celeste is uptight and slightly paranoid, which is why she never lets her mind's guard down, nor her own physical guard. she can play nice, and relax, on occasion, but you'll never catch little old celeste unprepared. ever. she slips up sometimes, and falters with her wall, so to speak, but in due time it'll be impenetrable. she's very talented at shielding her mind. after all, when you've got secrets like her, you can't afford to be weak.
