GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Neville has grown a lot from that short round faced chubby boy he used to be. He’s lost most of the baby fat in his face and has grown quite tall and lean with slight muscles. His hair is kept short and combed every day and he has the cutest dimples. At least that’s what Hannah says.

BIOGRAPHY: Neville was born on July 30, 1980 to Frank and Alice Longbottom. When he was young Bellatrix Lestrange had tortured his parents and thus causing them to get put into St. Mungo’s where they barely even remember their own son. He had then begun living with his Grandmother Augustus Longbottom. His family had always believed that he was a squid, barely showing any magical powers when he was younger until the day his Uncle Algie had dropped him from the second story and he bounced his way across the yard safely. He was then given a pet frog named Trevor.

First Year
In his first year at Hogwarts Neville had come across as a scare and timid eleven-year-old. He didn’t do well in his classes, other than Herbology that is. Throughout most of his years he managed to cause many accidents. One of them happened in potions where he melted Seamus Finnigan’s cauldron. He was quite forgetful and had even gotten a Remembrall from his grandmother, which Draco Malfoy had teased him about. He wasn’t good at flying either, having caused the first accident of the year in his flying class. However he was encouraged by Harry that he was worth twelve times more than Malfoy. Because of this encouragement Neville had gotten into a fight with Crabbe and Goyle at the third Quidditch match of the year when the Slytherin Trio were taunting the Gryffindor team.

At one point Neville had cost the Gryffindor House fifty house points when he had tried to warn Harry and Hermione that Malfoy was planning on trying to get them caught sneaking Norbert, Hagrid’s dragon, up to the Astronomy Tower. He ended up serving detention with Hermione, Harry and Malfoy in the forbidden forest.

On the night that Harry, Ron and Hermione had snuck out to try and stop Quirrell from getting the Sorcerer’s stone he had tried to prevent them from sneaking out again and thus Hermione put him in the full binding curse. Because of his braveness to stand up to his friends he ended up winning Gryffindor the last ten points they needed to win the house cup.

Second Year
Not much happened to Neville in his second year. Sure there were the Muggleborn attacks and he believed he would be attacked because of his poor magical skills of almost being a squib. He had even worn an onion and many other things to ward of whatever it was that was attacking the students.

In the first Defense against the Dark Arts class of the year Neville had been pulled up by his ears by a couple of Cornish Pixies and hung from the chandelier in the room. Not that it was much of a surprise that, that would have happened to him.

During the only duel club meeting he had been partnered up with Justin Finch-Fletchley and Snape ended up shooting him down saying he had poor magic skills.

Third Year
On Hogwarts express before the start of his third year he had ended up in Harry’s compartment when the dementors had come aboard the train. He ended up witnessing the events of Harry fainting and talked about it later on, causing Malfoy to learn about the event.

In the first Defense against the Dark Arts class of the year Neville was the first one to go up against the boggart, thus his fear of Professor Snape was revealed that day. He ended up putting the Boggart Snape in his Grandmothers outrageous outfit, thus causing Snape to be harder on him that year.

Later on the spring of the year Neville ended up losing his list of passwords from when Sir Cadogen was the picture upon the Gryffindor Tower. Thus causing many people to get mad at him and a howler sent to him from his grandmother. He wasn’t allowed to know the tower’s passwords anymore that year.

Fourth Year
Neville’s love for Herbology had become more known to everyone during his fourth year at Hogwarts. After an event in the Defense Against the Dark class when the students were shown the Unforgiveable Curses Professor Moody had taken him aside and even given him a Herbology book he believed Neville would like.

When the Yule Ball had came around he had asked Hermione to go with him, but ended up getting declined. In the end he ended up going with Ginny Weasley.

Fifth Year
In his fifth year he had received a Mimbulus Mimbletonia as a gift from his Great Uncle Algie. He had shown it to Harry, Ginny and Luna on the Hogwarts express. Thus showing even more enthusiasm with Herbology.

Neville had defended Harry that year when Harry got into a verbal fight with Seamus. He had believed that Harry and Dumbledore were telling the truth about Lord Voldemort and had told him that his Grandmother believes him as well. They had even cancelled their newspaper subscription to avoid reading the articles.

Neville was the first one to sign up for Dumbledore’s Army when Harry, Ron and Hermione had begun organizing it. On the first practice in the Room of requirement he had partnered up with Harry to learn the disarming spell since no one else wanted to partner up with him. Because of Harry’s teaching Neville had begun to improve with his Defense against the Dark arts “beyond all recongnition.”

This was the year that he told Harry, Ron and Hermione about how his parents had the Cruciatus Curse on his parents. Harry had told him that Neville would make his parents proud.

When the ten Death Eaters had escaped from Azkaban, Neville had begun to work even harder at the DA meetings. This was due to the fact that three of them were the ones that had tortured his parents. He ended up being the second fastest to pick up on the spells.

Neville had joined Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville to go to the Ministry of Magic to help out Harry’s grandfather. He ended up putting up a good fight. At one point he got a broken nose from one of the death eaters. He was quite helpful when he had carried Hermione as him and Harry had to search for the others at one point. Neville ended up confronting Bellatrix Lestrange, one of the Death Eaters that had cursed his parents. He even ended up being briefly cursed as well by her. When the Order had shown up he had tried to get away with Harry and because of being cursed by Tarantallegra he ended up smashing the prophet on accident.

Sixth Year
Neville had finally gotten his own wand this year, having using his father’s prior.

Neville ended up being chosen to be part of the Slug Club that Slughorn had created because of his famous parents. But after realizing that he wasn’t like his parents he was never invited back to any of Slughorn’s parties.

Towards the end of the school year Neville had participated in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. He and Luna were the only ones to respond to the DA coins. Neville had taken the Felix Felicis from Harry which providing him with some protection as he fought against the invading Death Eaters.

Seventh Year
Neville restarted the DA with Ginny and Luna when Harry, Ron and Hermione didn’t show up to Hogwarts that year. He pretty much ran the whole thing, always working to protect other students. He got in trouble several times from the new Death Eater teachers. One point he had refused to perform the Cruciatus Curse on other students.

He, Luna and Ginny had even attempted to steal the Godric Gryffindor’s Sword from Snape’s office for Harry, but they were caught on their way out. Snape had only given them detention with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest.

Eventually he was left alone to be the only leader of the DA because both Ginny and Luna had been pulled out of school. At this time the Carrows had become aware of Neville’s rebellious acts and thus he had suffered beatings and torture. They had even tried to target his grandmother, but she escaped and went on the run.

Eventually he stumbled upon the room of requirement once more and turned it into a hiding place for the DA. Soon most of them had taken to living with him there.

When Harry, Ron and Hermione had returned to Hogwarts he had greeted them happily and had even called the members of the DA together. At one point during the Battle of Hogwarts Harry had told Neville how important it was to kill Nagini, Voldemorts snake.

He finally got a chance when Harry was brought before everyone and presumed dead he had brought the sword out of the Sorting Hat and had chopped off Nagini’s head, thus killing the last Horcrux. He had then witnessed Harry and Voldemort’s last battle.

After Hogwarts
After Hogwarts Neville had become and Auror for a short period of time. During that time he had married Hannah Abbott. Some say that during his seventh year the two had become close as he protected the students of Hogwarts. He had two children and then later on he had become the Herbology teacher at Hogwarts and is now the Head of Gryffindor.
