Iggy waited as the last set of moving stairs stopped, allowing him to exit onto the first floor. The bustle of students from behind encouraged him to step off the steps and perch himself against the wall outside of the Great Hall. He looked down at his outfit, noticing a small stitch popping out of the seams of his red sweater. He played with it, then slapped it against the sweater and sighed. Frank had decided to wear a red v-neck sweater with a white collared shirt underneath, the white of the collar hinting at the top of the red. He also paired it with a pair of dark, fitted jeans and white tennis shoes. For a guy who didn't normally do this sort of thing, he thought he looked suitable enough. Frank smiled, then watched as the doors of the hall opened, taking his chance. He filed in with the rest of the students, taking a seat at Gryffindor's table. He discreetly picked a few pieces of bread, a whole chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes, and treacle tart into a couple of bags he had brought - though, he had been prepared and brought a bowl for the potatoes. Smiling contently, he swept them into his backpack and hustled out of the hall.
Frank swung his backpack over his shoulder, easily walking out of the castle and onto the grounds. He smiled; the air was absolutely friendly and brilliant. Iggy walked at a decent pace down to the black lake, of where he had promised to meet Saphira. He grinned at the sight - she hadn't gotten there before him. Quickly, he pulled out a picnic blanket and laid it down on the ground. He laid out the food, though kept the covers on them, and the plastic bags shut which held the pie and bread. He then took out a smaller bowl, and stuffed it with a few treats that he had brought on his own - just a few sweets from honeydukes. Iggy smiled at his accomplishment, then sat down on the blanket and waited for his date.

SHOULD'VE KISSED YOU THERE. I SHOULD have held your face, i should've watched those eyes, instead of run in place. Saphira was not all sure of what she was supposed to be expecting from today. Sure, she had several ideas already floating about her head, but she was trying not to get ahead of herself. Frank was, after all, her best friend, and she loved him. But how did she love him? Was it purely platonic, or was there something more to it? She could not decide and she didn't even want to try. Not right now. She just wanted to be down at the lake, with Frank. She took a look at her figure, a small frown coating her lips. She could not decide if she liked the dress. It was a white number, with just a hint of texture to it. It was not too long, but it wasn't exceptionally short either. However, it added an effect to her legs, proving them to be long, and wonderous. Saphira bit down on her lightly glossed lip, contemplating the idea of changing, but alas she did not. She figured this would be just fine. She turned, grabbing a white sleeveless jacket, she slipped it over her body and headed for the door. She was probably going to be late. Just great. she thought, mentally beating herself.
It took her five minutes to get out of the castle, although it probably wouldn't have taken so long if she had not been distracted by a talking portrait. She sighed, slipping her slender hands into the pocket of her small jacket. She leaned her head back and breathed deeply, after just a few seconds she straightened and quickened her pace, but it was elegant, it didn't really look like she was rushing. By the time she reached the lake she could see Frank already there, sitting on a blanket, surrounded by food. A smile graced her previously tormented features. She just could not believe this. He was just so remarkable. She came to a stop in front of Frank, across the blanket, her eyes gazing down at him. "This is just so..." she couldn't find the right words, "wow." well that was a lame ending, but really, what else could she say. She was dazzled, so to speak.[/blockquote]

Frank's sit was interrupted, though warmly, by the soft voice of Saphira. He turned his chin upward and grinned sheepishly. If the sight that she saw was 'wow' then he had no words for how she looked. Her white dress flowed beautifully around her small frame, but her small jacket screamed that she wasn't too formal. Iggy stood up and smiled at her, walking a few steps toward her before outstretching his hand. "You look br-brilliant," he stuttered, biting his lower lip. He grabbed her hand and tugged her over to the blanket, helping her sit so that she was comfortable. He sat beside her, not wanting her to have to worry about him looking up her dress - which, in fact, he wouldn't have done.
He shook his head to the side, getting a few spare strands of hair from his view. Frank smiled at Saphira then looked toward the food. "So, ready to eat? I think I got enough variety that we'll both be suited,"
he said with a smirk. He had gotten quite a lot of food, though was sure the leftovers would be gobbled up by guys in the common room. Generally, teenage males could eat if there was food in front of them - and never really get full, just tired of eating. In either case, Frank knew that even if the pair of them didn't eat the whole load of food, someone would. Smiling at Saphira, he waited for her answer in hopes that she was hungry. Otherwise, he was sure she would hear some gurgling noises from his end at any moment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tag: saphira , music: phineas and ferb theme song , location: black lake , status: finished! , notes: sorry for the wait dear <3[/blockquote][/blockquote]

SHOULD'VE KISSED YOU THERE. I SHOULD have held your face, i should've watched those eyes, instead of run in place. Saphira could feel the blood rush to her cheeks, coating them with a light shade of pink. "You're much too kind, Frank." she mumbled, pushing several loose strands of her hair behind her ears, her gaze dropping for a few short moments before returning to the god before her. She smiled gently as he took hold her hand, she followed willingly as he pulled her over, and she mumbled her appreciation to him as he helped her sit, and settle herself. She watched him as he took a seat beside her, her eyes failing to move away from him, but after a couple of minutes she forced her eyes away, not wanting him to feel awkward or something. Saphira had always had a problem of keeping her eyes off him, it had always been difficult, he was just so easy on the eyes, and so charming. She cleared her throat, feeling the blood flood her face again, and her neck. She felt foolish. She was happy for a distraction and after hearing Frank's question, and tossing it around in her head, she found a suitable answer. "I am, actually. I'm starved." she giggled, only just noticing that one hand was placed delicately on her stomach, as if backing up her story. Sadly, Saphira had never really been one to charge right into action, so she sat back, in a sense, and waited for Frank to make the first move. Normally she would not have been so hesitant, but well, she was a girl. As if that were any excuse though.[/blockquote]

Frank grinned at Saphira, showing his teeth. He was honestly glad that she wasn't one of those girls who didn't dare eat in front of a guy. He wouldn't have been able to bare it. Still, they were best friends anyway. Even if she was 'one of those girls', Saphy would be just fine in front of him. That was the way he liked it. Iggy adored his friendship with Saphira. They were comfortable around each other in ways which some might never experience. It was a great feeling to be around her, really.
Nodding quickly, he moved toward the food and began cutting the pot pie. He placed some on her plate, then on his own, and motioned her to grab anything else she wanted. He grabbed a few pieces of bread and began munching.

SHOULD'VE KISSED YOU THERE. I SHOULD have held your face, i should've watched those eyes, instead of run in place. Was it strange for her to feel kind of nervous right now? Surely it wasn't, but perhaps it was. She was on a date with Frank surely that was something to be nervous about. Not only was he her best friend, but he was also extremely good looking. Saphira exhaled almost inaudibly, her body relaxing, one hand resting palm open on the soft blanket beneath her, she leaned easily her hair falling behind and past her shoulder, her icy orbs were soft, delicate.
Her frail body was flowing, natural, clothed in a sweeping dress, so soft and luxurious. Saph watched as Iggy began to dig into the pot pie. She watched as he sliced it, and served her a piece, she smiled, and pushed herself up from her leaning position. She grabbed a scoop of mashed potatoes and a slice of bread. She picked up her fork and began to dig in. She may have been a girl, but she was by no means afraid of eating in front of other people. She spent the last seven years eating at a crowded table, in front of both men and women, she had gotten over that fear a long time ago. Besides, she was with Frank, so this was so easy, there was no tension, no discomfort, just familiarity.
