BIOGRAPHY:

harry james potter was born to james and lily potter on july 31, 1980. he was born with black hair and green eyes, those that match his mother's. his father was a chaser on the gryffindor team, and his mother exceptionally talented with transfigurations. his mother and father attended hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry together, taking positions head boy and girl alongside each other. harry was the light in their life after he was born, though the light dimmed quickly. harry was marked for death by lord voldemort right from birth, and the potters had to go into hiding. after their secret-keeper, peter pettigrew, released their confines to the dark lord, everything was lost. lord voldemort confronted their home on the night of october 31, 1981 and murdered james and lily potter. he attempted to kill harry as well, but his killing curse backfired and the boy lived, carried away by Hagrid with nothing but a lightening bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.

and so sparked harry's life undercover. rubeus hagrid, friend of the potters, was ordered by hogwarts' headmaster albus dumbledore to leave harry with his muggle aunt and uncle, where voldemort would not be able to touch him. as much as harry was protected at the home of the dursley's, he was treated poorly there. while the dursleys knew about harry's magical lineage, they considered themselves a proper family and wanted nothing to do with it. they hid any sign of harry's existence there, at all. harry was treated as though he weren't even there, while he sat back and watch his aunt and uncle spoil their bully of a son, dudley. while dudley got two bedrooms to himself, harry was forced to sleep in the cupboard under the stairs. still, after ten years of mistreatment, something changed.

the week of harry's eleventh birthday, hundreds of letters from owls were delivered to him at privet drive. his uncle vernon got rid of every single letter, making sure that harry could not read them. vernon thought, of course, that if harry didn't get his letters, then vernon couldn't admit his nephew was 'abnormal'. as the letters continued to come in by the loads, vernon dursleys saw no other way to get out of the situation except fleeing. this, however, was to no avail. at midnight on harry's birthday, rubeus hagrid found the location of harry potter. he was furious that the dursleys had lied to harry about who he was, and informed harry that he was, in fact, a wizard. hagrid also granted harry with a small homemade birthday cake, and a snowy owl of which harry named hedwig. on his birthday, harry also bought his first wand - a holly with phoenix-feather core. the strange thing about this wand, of course, was the fact that its brother gave harry his lightening bolt-shaped scar. the phoenix feather in the wand also came from a phoenix named fawkes, which belonged to albus dumbledore.

harry came to meet albus dumbledore, along with other people, during his first year at hogwarts. harry potter was all students could talk about at school. harry met ronald weasley, his best friend, upon getting on platform 9 and 3/4. on the train, together they met hermione granger, a girl they assumed to be a know-it-all. waiting for professor mcgonagall to lead them into the great hall, harry also met his newest rival - draco malfoy. harry was sorted into gryffindor, though the sorting hat debated whether or not he should fit into slytherin. harry also discovered in his first year that he was a natural flyer. He was so good that he was instantly put onto the quidditch team as seeker. harry's first year wasn't all that great, though. it was found that voldemort, who was presumed dead, was actually using one of the professors as a host body. harry defeated voldemort once more, though did not kill him. voldemort's ghost-like soul was flown away from the scene, and harry rewarded with splendid treats when he woke in the hospital wing.

before harry's second year even started, things were bad. a house-elf named dobby came to his muggle home and disrupted his aunt and uncle's hosting time. dobby tried to warn harry to not return to hogwarts, but harry refused. instead, when about to load into the platform at king's cross, harry and ron weasley find it inaccessible. harry and ron take the weasley's flying car to hogwarts, of which is crashed and ruined in the whomping willow, along with ron's wand. in a dueling class led by professor lockhart, harry revealed himself to the other students as a parslemouth. though he had never even known it, ron and hermione admitted the skill was not common and associated with the dark arts. harry came face to face with voldemort a second time, though in his form of tom riddle. harry, with the assistance of ron and lockhart, traveled into the chamber of secrets. harry was separated by the other two, but moved on. harry killed the basilisk in the chamber with godric gryffindor's sword and the help of fawkes the phoenix. harry was bitten by the basilisk, however, but was saved by the phoenix tears. harry stabbed the diary of which tom riddle simulated from to get rid of riddle, but didn't realize at the time that he had destroyed one of voldemort's horcruxes.

during harry's third year at hogwarts, he was on watch for sirius black. sirius black allegedly ratted out harry's parents to voldemort, though it was proven pettigrew did it instead. still, harry found out after sneaking about that sirius black was really his godfather. after finding out that fact, harry went to hagrid to seek comfort. there he found that hagrid's hippogriff, buckbeak, was put on trial for hurting draco malfoy at the beginning of term. harry began taking lessons from remus lupin, his professor, on how to create a patronus to drive back dementors, since he had a big problem with them. shortly, harry, ron, and hermione were informed that buckbeak was to be executed. they went down to comfort him, but had to be rushed out of the back as the Ministry officials came. after ron was dragged away by a black dog, harry and hermione went after him only to find out that the dog was sirius black. sirius and lupin proved to harry that pettigrew was the one who betrayed his parents. harry decided to turn pettigrew in rather than letting black kill him. still, while going back to the castle lupin turned into a werewolf on account that he hadn't had his wolfsbane potion, and black turned into a dog to protect harry. black was severly hurt, and by the time harry got to him in the forest, dementors were around him. with the use of hermione's time-turner, harry and hermione saved buckbeak and sirius, though sirius had to flee since the Ministry still thought of him as a criminal.

in 1994, harry went with the weasleys and hermione to the quidditch world cup. during the celebration afterward, hooded figures raided the area, draco malfoy's father being one of them. harry's name came out of the goblet of fire, along with the three triwizard champions. people began to become wary of harry and his intentions, feeling as though he somehow cheated his way into the tournament. between the first and second tasks of the tournament, harry attended the yule ball - though not with the person he intended. still, he did attend and had a decent enough time. during the third task, harry was taken to a graveyard, along with cedric diggory. harry watched as cedric was killed by pettigrew for doing nothing but being at the wrong place at the wrong time. harry was bound to tom riddle sr.'s tombstone and forced to witness the rebirth of lord voldemort into a human body. harry escaped after dueling with voldemort, taking cedric's body with him. the ministry of magic, though, insisted that harry was crazy and voldemort did not return.

before harry's fifth year began, he encountered dementors in little whinging. he was forced to perform magic to save dudley and himself. thanks to his magic usage, he was expelled from hogwarts. still, dumbledore was there at his trial and got him off the hook. harry was a bit jealous when ron was chosen as prefect and harry wasn't, but after finding out his father wasn't prefect, he settled down. dolores umbridge came to hogwarts and tormented harry, giving him a detention that he was scarred from - literally. umbridge believed that dumbledore was raising an army, and as such reduced defense against the dark arts to reading textbooks. still, she had the right idea - there was a dumbledore's army, though he wasn't raising it. harry potter himself was teaching other students how to defend themselves. late in his owl examinations, harry fell asleep and saw a vision of voldemort torturing sirius for a prophecy. harry, with some of the d.a. members, took thestrals and rode them to london. upon picking up a prophecy that had his name on it, harry and his friends were greeted by death eaters in the department of mysteries. the order of the phoenix was alerted and accompanied harry and his friends quickly. still, bellatrix black, sirius' cousin, killed him right before harry's eyes, knocking him through the veil. after becoming enraged, voldemort possessed harry potter. voldemort was forced to leave harry's body after he grieved for sirius, though, because he couldn't understand the feeling. the minister and ministry of magic both saw voldemort before he disapparated. this was a relief to harry, and his reputation became spared. still, he also learned that the real reason the dark lord wanted him dead was because it was harry who was destined to kill him.

after the battle taking place in the hall of prophecy, people began to stipulate the relationship between the hall and harry himself. wizards and witches alike began to acknowledge him as the chosen one. at the beginning of the summer, dumbledore requested that harry accompany him - but not before they addressed sirius' will. sirius had left harry his entire estate at grimmauld place, which included the house-elf kreacher. dumbledore took harry to meet an old professor, professor slughorn, of whom dumbledore wanted to return to hogwarts. by the end of their visit with him, he agreed - mainly, albus assumed, because harry could be the cherry on top to his group of people. harry was dropped off at the burrow after the trip with slughorn, being informed that dumbledore was going to train him himself, and that harry was named captain of the quidditch team. still, upon arriving at hogwarts, harry recieved another surprise - that slughorn would accept his exceeds expectations in potions, so that he could aspire to become an auror. without having a textbook, harry was forced to borrow one from slughorn's cabinet. this certain book, though, had belonged to the 'half blood prince'. the book had plenty of handwritten notes, of which helped harry excel. harry, of course, attended the slug club christmas party. after draco malfoy tried to crash it, harry overheard that malfoy was up to something, and snape had made the unbreakable vow to protect him.

harry's christmas suffered from lack of too much pleasure, seeing as minister of magic rufeus scrimgeour accompanied arthur weasley home to get harry as the ministry's mascot. still, after returning to hogwarts, harry's lessons with dumbledore continued. the headmaster showed harry a memory of slughorn's, tampered with, and gave harry the mission of getting the real memory. by march, harry still had not gotten the memory. after finding ron under the influence of a very powerful love potion, harry decided that it may be a shot to get the memory and his friend fixed up. this wasn't the case, though. ron ended up poisoned, and in the end it influenced the end of his relationship with lavender brown. even though harry obtained slughorn's memory after midnight, he took it to dumbledore. it confirmed that voldemort created horcruxes. albus promised harry that if he found any more horcruxes, harry could join him. harry had a run-in with malfoy, and used a curse from the half blood prince's book - which led in malfoy severely bleeding. harry had to serve detention, but upon returning to the gryffindor common room, he found that they had won the quidditch cup. harry embraced ginny in a kiss, sparking their post-match relationship.

in june, harry, alongside dumbledore, left the castle in search of a horcrux. they apparated to a sea-side cave, where tom riddle had traumatized two young kids from his orphanage. after sacrificing blood, the two of them entered the cave. inside, there was a small boat made for one. they took it to the center of the lake to an island. there, dumbledore drank a poison inside the basin where the horcrux was buried underneath. after he drank the poison, harry was forced to get albus a drink of water from the lake - which triggered the inferi laying beneath the surface. harry was dragged underneath the water, but saved by the weak dumbledore. upon returning to hogwarts, dumbledore and harry landed on top of the astronomy tower. death eaters had invaded the school, and were dueling order members floors below. dumbledore forced harry to wait the fight out underneath his invisbility cloak, though, from underneath he watched dumbledore die by the hands of severus snape. after dumbeldore died, harry was no longer restricted and went after snape. snape revealed that he was the half-blood prince, and escaped from hogwarts with draco malfoy, and the other death eaters. harry returned to the castle to confront dumbledore's body, which over ginny and harry broke up. harry took the locket from dumbledore's robes, only to find out that the locket was a decoy. he felt as though everything that night had been wasteful. knowing that he had to go after the horcruxes, he confronted ron and hermione who agreed they would accompany him, despite his protests.

if harry had attended hogwarts his seventh year, on different circumstances, he would have probably been exceptional. he didn't, though. instead, harry dropped out with ron and hermione and planned to go hunting for horcruxes. they couldn't leave right away, though. harry stayed at privet drive for some time before the order of the phoenix came with a departure plan. with the help of polyjuice potion, six of harry's friends became identical to him. what would have been a brilliant plan turned out to be a battle - the battle over little whinging. death eaters attacked them upon their leave, and harry even saw voldemort in the attacks. harry's wand acted on its own accord and destroyed voldemort's borrow wand. the attack ended when harry and hagrid came under the protection of the spells over the tonks house. after being mended, harry and hagrid took a portkey to the burrow. there they found molly and ginny, but no one else had returned. hermione and ron came back safely, as well did remus lupin who returned with george who had lost his left ear. the rest of the pack arrived safely too, except for alastor moody who was killed and mundungus fletcher who disapparated.

though harry had not recognized dumbledore would leave him anything, harry came to acquire the first snitch he ever caught. ron and hermione were also given gifts by dumbledore, of which eventually helped them. at bill and fleur's wedding, death eaters came unannounced, which forced harry and his two friends to flee. thankfully, hermione was already prepared for such events. they then sought refuge at grimmauld place, of which had been left to harry. after infiltrating the ministry, they got the real locket they had been searching for, as well as manage to release several muggle-borns. after they released the position of grimmauld place to a death eater, though, and were forced to hide elsewhere. ron ended up leaving the group out of pure aggravation, though returned just in time to help harry out of the pond with the sword of gryffindor. harry insisted that ron destroyed the locket horcrux, of which he did with difficulty. harry, hermione, and ron were captured by snatchers, which took them to malfoy manor. they were interrogated, but hermione was tortured by bellatrix lestrange. harry cried for help, a cry that aberforth dumbledore heard and sent dobby to respond to. dobby got the gang out of the cellar, but was killed in the process. harry proceeded to dig dobby's grave by his own hand. harry and his two friends, along with goblin griphook, broke into gringotts and stole Helga Hufflepuff's cup. they barely got out, though did so on the back of a dragon.

harry then realized that one of the last horcruxes resided at hogwarts, and that they needed to get in. they did this with the help of aberforth dumbledore, who told the real story of what happened to his and albus' sister, ariana. a tunnel led harry, ron, and hermione into the castle, alongside neville who had called back dumbledore's army and order members. harry decided, then, that they were going to fight for hogwarts. while the professors attempted to seal protections around the castle walls, the trio headed to the room of hidden things, where the diadem of ravenclaw was hidden. they were matched with draco, crabbe, and goyle though. after a small fight, the room was destroyed by the cursed fire that crabbe started, though it also caused crabbe's death, along with the destruction of the diadem as a horcrux. they had one more horcrux to go, nagini, but witnessed the death of fred weasley first. the trio fought their way to the shrieking shack, where they watched voldemort tell nagini to kill severus snape. snape ordered harry to take his memories and to look at them. upon returning to the castle, harry saw the dead bodies of lupin and tonks near fred's. harry left his friends behind to look into the pensieve. harry watched the memories, and was informed that he himself was a horcrux. he realized what he must do. harry sacrificed himself in the forest, but was not killed. he went into a 'middle sector' between life and death. harry noted that voldemort had killed the part of himself that was embedded in harry as a horcrux, and harry chose to return to help his friends.

with the help of narcissa malfoy, harry was able to feign his death a bit longer. voldemort tortured his body, but harry refused to let himself off guard. voldemort announced harry's death, and neville stepped up to voldemort - slaying the snake nagini, the last horcrux. battle resumed, and harry came face to face with voldemort for the last time. since harry had conquered malfoy's wand at malfoy manor, and the elder wand really belonged to malfoy, harry was the true master of the elder wand. when voldemort tried to kill harry with it, it backfired and killed him instead. harry potter lost the ability to speak parseltongue, which relief, and his scar no longer pained him.

after the war, harry became an auror under the law that kingsley shacklebolt put into play, that stated that anyone who fought in the second wizarding war could become an auror without having their n.e.w.t.'s. at the age of twenty seven, harry became head of the auror office. he helped to reform the ministry, with ron who had also become an auror, and hermione who was high up in the department of magical law enforcement. he also aided in the raising of his godson, teddy lupin. harry married ginny weasley, and they had three children together. directly after the war, harry ensured that severus snape's portrait was hung in the headmaster's office at hogwarts.

despite all of their efforts, harry had heard with his own ears a new prophecy made by sybill trelawney - one of her real predictions. harry reported it to kingsley, who agreed that all books of harry and his friends' accomplishments be banned from hogwarts. while the general public knew not why, they were forced to keep hushed up about harry and his famous history. harry was even succumbed to not speaking a word of it to his children. still, he would do anything to protect the wizarding world and decided for the better against letting the future generation know of what had happened before. harry potter will do anything to prevent history from repeating itself.
